The 2018-19 AAA Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) annual boys’ hockey championship is taking place in Barrie, Ontario, Wed., March 20 through Friday, March 22, 2019.

Sports Medicine is honoured to be the PLATINUM SPONSOR of the event. Our Sports Medicine team will be providing first aid injury care covering 2 rinks on March 20 & 21 from 8 am – 4 pm. (Holly & East Bayfield). On Friday March 22, the semi-finals and championship game will be at the Holly Community Centre.

The championship will bring over 400 participants and staff to the city to play and support hockey players from all regions of Ontario. Many spectators, parents, family and friends will be among the crowds at the East Bayfield Community Centre and Holly Recreation Centre. The OFSAA championship is made up of teams from 16 regions covering Ontario. The AAA designation represents the largest schools in the province and therefore some of the most talented and deepest rosters. The tournament-style championship is a round robin seeded pool tournament. Four pools of teams compete for the Championship held on the last day (March 22, 2019).

St. Joan of Arc High School is proud to host the OFSAA championship for the first time. St. Joan of Arc will be battling hard to represent the GBSSA in this year’s championship. The OFSAA championship game is always an electric and exciting event with loud and energetic crowds not seen very often!
