This course is designed to equip hockey personnel with a basic understanding of what a concussion is, how to recognize them, and how to safely manage a concussed athlete back into the classroom and the sporting environment. Sports Medicine will also provide players a managed and safe Return to Play 10 step process. Over the next three years, the program will continue to evolve adding more educational opportunities, optional baseline testing and utilizing a concussion tracker APP on coaches/trainers smart phones.
